Manz was an important utility item in each Kashmiri house. Generally one would find it in the fore lawn of each rural house with a wooden pestle..
Rice Huskers , and other grinding machines have replaced it now.
I remember how two persons, mostly women would pestle out rice in it and while doing so they would whisper romantic and devotional songs
